Aaron Sullivan admits firing the gun and accidentally killing 11-year-old girl on the Fourth of July

Aaron Sullivan admitted Thursday that he fired the gun that killed 11-year-old Blair Shanahan Lane on the Fourth of July and also allowed others to fire the gun.

Sullivan, 50, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. His sentencing is slated for February 3.

Jackson County Prosecutor is reportedly asking Missouri lawmakers to pass “Blair’s Law,” which would make firing a gun in city limits a felony, with a few exceptions.
