A pigeon was the most entertaining part of Sunday’s Oakland-Kansas City game

If you’re looking to rate the excitement of Sunday’s contest between the Oakland Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs, then the above video should tell you the entire story [H/T The Big Lead]. A Raiders’ fan spends seven minutes tracking a stubborn pigeon that refuses to leave the field at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum despite the chaos of two tons of men lumbering around it in pads.

The pigeon appears to be running an out pattern before it veers away from the sidelines and heads back for the Raiders’ logo at midfield. Interested animal lovers will appreciate that the Chiefs’ players ignored the avian intruder. Several Raiders, most noticeably guard Mike Brisiel, were ineffective in their attempts to budge the pigeon from the pitch. It, like all streakers, is eventually led off the field by Raiders’ personnel. The pigeon is not tackled; however, it’s escorted out in a bucket. This is, sadly, seven of the most entertaining minutes of the Chiefs’ season.
