There’s a bunch of sturm und drang that comes with being a metal fan; and when fans aren’t being brutalized at a show, cracking open a book can be pretty metal, too. What’s more hardcore than the apocalyptic angst of Nietzche or Dante? “God is dead?” That’s some intense shit.
In the spirit of thrashing intellectualism, Flavorwire has complied a metalhead summer reading list. It’s a good brush-up for fans that are going to get their shit rocked when Slayer comes to Sandstone later this summer on August 23. We’ve got some highlights after the jump.
