Zombies to invade downtown Lawrence for charity tonight

• Zombie Adam Duritz may not be there, but you’ll still have plenty of people-watching opportunities.

If you think you’re seeing more of the undead around Lawrence, you’re not wrong. The sixth annual Lawrence Zombie Walk (which has grown from 50 to 850 people since 2006) is set for tonight from 6:30 to 9 p.m. For those who need help getting into the spirit, the Lawrence Public Library is hosting a Zombie Clinic with hair and makeup stations from 4 to 6 p.m.

The undead will gather at the South Park Gazebo (1141 Massachusetts) and begin walking up Massachusetts after sunset. T-shirts ($15) and glow-in-the-dark bracelets ($5) are available for purchase. The walk benefits the Lawrence Humane Society and Arc of Douglas County.
