The Kansas City Mavericks are headed to the Western Conference Finals after completing a dominant four-game sweep over the Allen Americans with a 5-3 victory Saturday night in Texas. A loud contingent of Kansas City fans made the trip south to pack the stands and celebrate alongside the team as the Mavericks officially claimed the Mountain Division title.

Kansas City wasted little time taking control, fueled by a huge performance from Jackson Jutting, who recorded a hat trick in the series-clinching win. Jutting scored twice in the opening period before adding another late in the second to halt Allen momentum each time the Americans threatened to climb back into the game. Casey Carreau and Bobo Carpenter also found the back of the net, while Jack Randl added a three-assist night in another balanced offensive effort from the Mavericks.

The atmosphere inside Credit Union of Texas Event Center felt far from a true road game for Kansas City. Mavericks fans traveled in large numbers to support the club, making their presence known throughout the night with cheers and celebrations after every goal. As the final horn sounded, players saluted the traveling KC crowd after securing the Mountain Division Finals sweep and extending their remarkable postseason run.

Allen pushed back throughout the contest with goals from Riley Kidney and Colton Hargrove, but Kansas City continued answering every challenge. Dylan Wells came up with several key stops, including a penalty-shot save in the second period that helped preserve the Mavericks’ momentum during a tense stretch of the game.

With the win, the Mavericks improved to 8-0 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs and continued a season that has already included earning the Brabham Cup as the ECHL’s top regular-season team. Now, Kansas City turns its focus toward the Western Conference Finals with games one and two this weekend at Cable Dahmer Arena.

Our photographer Eli Ralls made the trip down south to catch the action.
