The playoff intensity continued Sunday afternoon as the Kansas City Mavericks battled the Allen Americans in Game 2 of the Mountain Division Finals at Cable Dahmer Arena. In a physical matchup packed with heavy hits, fast-paced action, and postseason energy, Kansas City came away with another hard-fought victory to take a 2-0 series lead before the series headed south to Texas.

The Mavericks continued their strong playoff run behind another standout defensive performance and timely scoring, keeping the Americans off the board in a tense 1-0 battle. The atmosphere inside the arena reflected the stakes of the series, with every shift bringing increased pressure and momentum swings as both teams fought through a highly physical contest.

Goaltender Dylan Wells delivered one of the biggest performances of the night, stopping every shot he faced to earn a clutch playoff shutout in the Mavericks’ 1-0 win. Wells stood tall through multiple pressure-filled moments as Allen pushed for a late equalizer, helping Kansas City lock down another crucial postseason victory.

With a victory Wednesday, the Mavericks now lead the series 3-0, the series continues in Texas this weekend where the Mavericks look to finish the series at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen on Saturday.
