Photos: Mavericks get back on track with win over Idaho Steelheads
On Wednesday, Nov. 5, the Kansas City Mavericks hosted the Idaho Steelheads at Cable Dahmer Arena for their annual Kids Day game. The puck dropped around 10:30 a.m., the two teams hits the ice, and the Mavs never looked back, winning the match 5-2 in front of the local children. The first period was all action as the Mavericks scored four goals, coming from Landon McCallum, Luke Loheit, and two from Bobo Carpenter. The team would give up two along the way to victory and claim another goal of their own from Landon McCallum, adding insult to injury. The two teams are set to match up again this weekend on Friday and Saturday at Cable Dahmer.
