Photos: Royals win series over Blue Jays as season winds down

Over the weekend, the Kansas City Royals hosted the Toronto Blue Jays, winning two of the three games played. After scoring 20, yes, 20, runs in game one on Friday, Sept. 19, the team would go on to win game two and drop game three. Currently six games behind in the MLB Wildcard race, the team’s playoffs hopes are basically diminished. They go on the road to face the Los Angeles Angels tomorrow night as the season comes to a close.
