The Kansas City Current faced off against the Seattle Reign on Saturday, Sept. 20 at CPKC Stadium. The team got off to a 1-0 start in the 34th minute as Debhina scored a penalty against Seattle. Temwa Chawinga would add a second goal to the club’s lead, which would put Seattle to bed, 2-0. The Current are now 17-2-2, sitting in first place in the National Women’s Soccer League and seven games ahead of second place Washington Spirit. The team heads to Chicago for a Friday night match against the Stars.
