After winning the first two games of a three-game series against the Washington Nationals, the Kansas City Royals drop game three 8-7 on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Kauffman. The Nats were able to get five men across the plate in the first against starting pitcher Seth Lugo, and they never looked back. The Royals would rally, but it would not be enough to overcome Washington’s eight runs. The team faces off against the Chicago White Sox tomorrow evening as wildcard hopes remain alive.
