Creature Feature: Gleeful Griffon is searching for a forever home
Creature Feature is The Pitch’s weekly profile on a local animal looking for adoption. Shelters and support in Kansas City and the surrounding region are often pushed to the breaking point, so picking one future companion to highlight is how we want to put them on your radar. But there are far more than we could ever fit into our pages. Some of the frequent resources and groups we work with—who also have hundreds of other furry friends to flip through—include Great Plains SPCA, Olathe Animal Shelter, The Pet Connection, All Paws & Pals Play and Stay, Pleasant Hill Animal Control, Pawportunities, Wayside Waifs, Midwest Animal Resq, Pawsperity, Wild Souls Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Humane Society Pet Food Pantry, KC Action For Animals, and Pet Resource Center of KC. For more resources like these, and for everything that help people with their needs too, check out The Pitch’s Community Resource Guide.
Here’s this week’s Creature Feature:
Happy late Easter from KC Pet Project’s Griffin, who celebrated the holiday with a sweet Sonic treat on his Dog Day Out!
Griffin is one of the amazing pups at KC Pet Project hoping to hop into his perfect home. He’s two years old, super sweet, and loves car rides, pup cups, and walks. He was found as a stray and is now one of KC Pet Project’s Dog Day Out regulars. Volunteers say he’s calm, treat-motivated, and a total pro on a leash. Griffin is looking for a home where he can be your one and only dog—the king of the castle with all your love to himself.
