The Fighting Alliance Championship (FAC) MMA 27 took place at Cable Dahmer Arena this past Friday, Dec. 6. The main card consisted of four bouts—Austin Spangler versus Mauricio Rodriguez, Stefaan Jefferson versus Brian Sullivan, Zach Long versus Davi Young, and the main event, Gauge Young versus Eric Grant. All fighters except for Grant reign from the Midwest. All eyes were on the main event as Grant and Gauge, who is coming off a loss in Dana White’s Contender Series, took the win via knockout. Now with a record of 9-2, the 155 pounder from Sedalia hopes to continue success in MMA, hopeful to move up and eventually get a shot at the UFC.
