The Kansas City Mavericks take down the Wichita Thunder 5-4 in home-opener of the ECHL 2024 Season on Saturday, Oct. 19. The boys in orange and white wasted no time getting the goals rolling this season, scoring three goals in the first period. Wichita answered back, scoring four in the second period, The game was knotted up at 4-4 going into the third period, but the Mavs would later take home the victory off the game winning goal from Luke Loheit. With one win under their belt, hopefully, this performance is a foreshadowing of how the team will play in the coming months.
