KC Current took down San Diego Wave in a dominant fashion on Saturday, Oct. 19, capping the game off with four goals scored, only letting up one in minute 88 of the match. The balls began flying into the back of the next in minute 22, as Michelle Cooper knocked one in. Shortly after, Kailen Sheridan scored an own goal, putting the Current up 2-0 going into the half. Coming out, Temwa Chawinga scored her 20th goal of the season while also cementing more records in her legacy—Chawinga has now scored on every active NWSL team (13), making her the first player ever to reach the feat. She now has 20 goals this season—the most by any NWSL player. Débora Cristiane de Oliveira scored the fourth goal for the club in the 80th minute. The team put on a truly stellar performance on Saturday and hope to keep it up as the playoffs grow closer.
