Looking for delicious plans? Whether you want to impress a date, show your fam the best of KC, or just get out of the house, we’ve got you covered… all while supporting (mostly) local.

Here is your weekly roundup of the best food and drink offerings around Kansas City. Cheers!

Something New

Kaw Valley Winter Wine Passport: 10 wine flights for $50? That’s a deal! This season’s Kaw Valley Winter Wine Passport is on sale now, and activates on November 1. Participating wineries include Stone Pillar Vineyard, Somerset Ridge, Serendipity Farm & Vine, Holy Field Winery, White Tail Run, Bourgmont Winery, and more. Complete the passport for a complimentary Kaw Valley wine glass.

Minsky’s Pizza: A KC culinary collaboration has landed at Minsky’s Pizza. For a limited time, the Chicken Spiedini Sausage Gourmet Pizza is available at all Kansas City metro and Lawrence Minsky’s locations. This special pie features The Italian Sausage Company’s house-made chicken spiedini sausage and alfredo sauce, and debuts Minsky’s new Italian-seasoned panko crunch crust.

Stroud’s Pan-Fried Chicken Restaurant: Another iconic KC collab has launched–this one is at Stroud’s in Overland Park. To celebrate Italian Heritage Month, Stroud’s has partnered with Jasper’s Italian Restaurant for a limited-time Chicken Parmesan meal, priced at $25. This special dish features Stroud’s signature chicken fried chicken, topped with Jasper’s roasted tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, plus your choice of chicken noodle soup or salad, green beans, and cinnamon rolls. This deal is available from October 4 – 31.

Westport Flea Market Bar & Grill: To celebrate the Royals making it to the playoffs, Westport Flea Market is offering $3 burgers. This deal only lasts as long as the team does, so cheer extra loud for the boys in blue!

Buffalo State Pizza: If you’re a fan of Buffalo State Pizza, here’s a unique opportunity to show your support. In an effort to expand the Overland Park location by moving to a larger location in the same neighborhood, Buffalo State is seeking community investors for this relocation of the flagship location. The minimum goal of $100,000 will go toward construction of the new space.

Opening

Incline on 9th: The West Bottoms has a new eatery. Incline on 9th is now open, just steps away from the (also new) Larks Entertainment space. This new restaurant is open Wednesdays through Saturdays with an extensive dinner and drink menu, plus a late-night menu served from 9:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. The menu features items from local partners like Yoli Tortilleria, City Market Coffee, Roma Bakery, West Bottoms Whiskey, Tom’s Town Distilling Company, and more.

Cowboy Kitchen: Cowboy Kitchen is now open in downtown Lee’s Summit. Featuring late-night hours and a menu of fried apps, chicken tenders, and smash burgers, the kitchen at the same location as The Rusty Spur honky tonk bar is sure to satisfy after a fun night.

Closing

Coast to Coast Pub: Coast to Coast Pub from Martin City Brewing Company has closed. The southern KCMO location was known for seafood, $1 oyster nights, and burgers that all complement the Martin City beer lineup. No plans for the location or Coast to Coast Pub brand have been announced. Martin City Brewery and Martin City Pizza and Taproom locations remain open.

October 3

Tirune: If you have yet to dine at our September magazine cover feature, Triune, here is a last-minute plan for you. In this first of three LIFE dinner series, guests will interact not only with their companions but also with the Triune team. The $100 dinner features a grazing table, smoked bone marrow with salsa macha, coconut butternut squash soup, tomahawk steak, and sweet potato pie.

October 4

KC Bier Co: Oktoberfest descends upon Crown Center from October 4 – 5! Presented by KC Bier Co, this German, specifically Bavarian-inspired, festival features beer, food, games, vendors, and fun for all ages. Tickets start at $17. Prost!

Maps Coffee & Chocolate: Maps in Lenexa invites you and the whole fam to bring your lawn chairs and hang out at the Fall Block Party. From 6 – 9 p.m., Maps will feature live music, cold brew cocktails, beer from Limitless Brewing, Burg & Barrel Food Truck, and Pop’s Sweet Shop ice cream. The event is free to attend.

October 5

Weston Applefest: One of KC’s favorite day trips, Weston, MO, is hosting the annual Applefest on Saturday and Sunday. The fun starts with a parade at 10 a.m. on Sarurday, and ends at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Get your autumn on with Apple Alley, apple treats, artisans, live music, kids’ games, and more. The festival is free to attend, but a $10 donation at nearby parking lots keeps the decades-long tradition running.

Westport Wine Walk: From 4 – 7 p.m., the annual Wine Walk takes over Westport. $30 tickets grant guests a map of included wine tastings and a tasting glass, plus access to exclusive activities and discounts at participating businesses. Be among the first to preview Frost Frozen Cocktail Bar before it opens, and enjoy some literal playtime at Bar & Rec.

The House: In Westwood, The House is kicking off spooky season with an event featuring festive cocktails, live music, a build-your-own chili bar with a Thai flair, and more! $1 from each specialty cocktail sold will be donated to Gilda’s Club Kansas City, a cause that is close to the heart of The House and Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop owner, Malisa Monyakula. Tickets are $20 and include food, sweet treats, and entertainment.
