The Kansas City Royals fall short for a third straight game against the Detroit Tigers, losing 4-2 on Wednesday, Sept. 19. This loss marks a sweep for the hometown team, now putting their wild card position in jeopardy. With just a game and a half up on the next team, which is the Tigers, this makes the sweep even more devastating. The sweep was the worst-case scenario for the Royals, and are hopeful to get back on track against the San Francisco Giants tomorrow night when they come to town.
