Photos: Kansas City Royals take 2-1 series loss against the Tampa Bay Rays in mid-season slump
The Kansas City Royals are currently on a road trip until mid-July, having just taken a 1-2 series loss against the Colorado Rockies this past weekend. Prior to their trip, however, the team hosted the Tampa Bay Rays in a three-game series—also only able to scrape up one win against the Florida team on Wednesday, July 3. Now sitting with a 49-43 record, and in third place in the AL Central, the Royals are hopeful that their bats will reappear, and their bullpen will find their reins, as the MLB season is just about halfway through. They begin a two-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday, July 9 on the other side of the Show-Me State.
