TV’s American Pickers looking for KC folks to feature in June filming
Time to dust off... everything(?) in preparation. Do you have a collection that could be featured on air?

The American Pickers TV Show will uncover Kansas City’s rare collections this June, bringing their expert eye for antiques to Missouri.
This History Channel show is accepting submissions right now from individuals with unforgettable items and stories to go along with them.
Four pickers—Mike Wolfe, Robbie Wolfe, Jersey Jon, and Danielle Colby—make a living as modern-day treasure hunters by visiting people’s homes, barns, garages, and attics, listening to their stories, and buying their items for resale or personal collections.
As the introduction of their TV show states, “We make a living telling the history of America… one piece at a time.”
They are especially looking for unique, never-before-seen items with a fascinating history and someone willing to tell it. While not every visit ends in a purchase, collectors should be prepared for the pickers to make an offer.
If selected, participants can expect an initial, pre-picker meeting to view the collection and determine if it is a good fit for the show. Then, a filmed follow-up could be scheduled for the pickers to look through and purchase any part of the collection.
American Pickers’ last visit to Missouri was three years ago, and they are excited to discover what has built up in their absence.
“In the past, the Pickers have had great success with finding some unique, eye-catching items in Missouri,” says the show’s producer Meredith Ball. “It seems like a lot of wonderful treasures make their way to the Show-Me State.”
Since their mission is to portray the tales of the common folk, they do not visit flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums, or anything open to the public.
