Creature Feature: Meet majestic Molly
Maggie was found as a stray in Aug., 2023, quickly taken into a home for two short months. The owners surrendered her to Prairie Paws Manhattan in Sept., due to territorial issues in the home with their other dog. Maggie played very well with the other dogs outside, but was nervous inside because she hadn’t quite acclimated to shelter life.
Maggie was then transferred to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter Ottawa location, where she sat in her kennel for another three months with zero interest.
In hopes to better her chance at adoption, she was transferred back to Manhattan where she has been sitting with very few visitors. Maggie has absolutely stolen the hearts of all the volunteers. She loves cuddles, belly rubs, and showering her humans with affection. She does great with other dogs and on a leash, yet Maggie is currently the longest stay at the shelter—going on a sorrowful 8 months! Let’s get this sweet girl adopted!
