Last night at the White School House, fans came out for the first album release from Lawrence act Miles Luce & the Cowtippers, debuting their album I Cry Cowboy Tears.

The songs debuted last night combined a perfect blend of country rock and spacey ballads with vulnerable songwriting, with the album featuring many local Lawrence musicians like Ali Madden from Cat F!ght and Jackson Goodrich from The Jackoffs.

The Cowtippers brought down the house with their song “Wild Wes” with its rough and tumble speeds of country punk which left people moshing and country dancing simultaneously.

Opening acts included Fritz Hutchison and Daniel Gum, both singer/songwriters from Kansas City.

Our photographer Maura Dayton (@twistedmauraphotos), was there to capture the experience.
