Mumford & Sons cancel Monday’s Cricket Wireless show


Kansas City, you’ll have to wait for Mumford & Sons. The band announced Thursday evening the cancellation of Monday’s show at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater as well as an appearances at Bonnaroo and Telluride. Band member Ted Dwane is recovering after surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.
“If we could’ve we would’ve, you know that about us,” the band wrote on Facebook. “We trust that you can respect our collective desire to encourage Ted to make a full recovery, and that this is based purely on the medical advice we have received.”

No word on a rescheduled date or refund information yet. Here’s the word from Cricket Wireless Amphitheater on the cancellation: “The Mumford and Sons Concert at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater, scheduled for Monday, June 17, 2013 is being postponed. All tickets for the June 17th event will be honored on the rescheduled date to be announced soon. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase.”
