The Depth and the Whisper and Erik Voeks are at Uptown Arts Bar on Saturday
In the Crossroads during First Fridays in June, there was a three-piece band out in front of the Whoop De Doo mural that seemed wayyyy too melodically advanced to be playing on a busy street. I stopped and watched them play a few tender power-pop songs for a while. Then they played a song that I recognized. Then I realized that the band was the Depth and the Whisper, and that I reviewed their record a few years ago.
