On Thursday, November 24, T-Mobile presents its 33rd Annual Thanksgiving 5K Run & Family Stroll. Whether you’re seeking a physical outlet for holiday overwhelm or an opportunity to celebrate in solidarity with other Kansas Citians, this race is for you.

“We’re excited to bring friends, family–and now leashed dogs–together for this fun, community-oriented celebration,” says Josh Zabel, Director of Events for The Kansas City Sports Commission.

Beyond a dopamine rush and an elevated appetite, participants will receive a tri-blend fabric long-sleeved T-shirt, a beanie courtesy of T-Mobile, and a Krispy Kreme donut for post-race replenishment.

The race, hosted by Aspiria Campus in Overland Park, extends along Sprint Parkway and parts of Glenwood Street, Nall Avenue, 112th Street, and 115th Street.

The 5k starts at 9 a.m., followed by a kid’s “fun run” at 10 a.m. Registration is open for individuals ($37), groups of four or more ($35 per person), and virtual participants ($40).

100% of the proceeds generated will support Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation and WIN for KC in their efforts to develop KC via attraction of major events like the 2023 NFL Draft and 2026 FIFA World Cup.
