Trans Siberian Orchestra does its Trans Siberian Orchestra thing at the Sprint Center
Trans Siberian Orchestra
Sprint Center
Saturday, December 9
For two shows on Saturday, the prog-rock-meets-Christmas event that is the Trans Siberian Orchestra brought its spectacle to the Sprint Center. The group’s celebrating its Ghosts of Christmas Eve special on this tour, performing it as half of the show before filling the second half with a collection of other numbers — including a version of Carl Orff’s “O Fortuna” from Carmina Burana that fit into the bombast like Santa’s hand in a big red mitten. It was loud. It was exciting. It was full of lasers and pyro. Here’s a selection of photos from the afternoon matinee.
