Chapungu Nights at Powell Gardens

Chapungu Nights at Powell Gardens, on display through November 2, is a huge collection of 54 hand-carved, stone sculptures created by the Shona people of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The sculptures, which as a whole have a family theme, are dispersed throughout the gardens, adding to the already beautiful landscape. Suggestion: Powell Gardens is open until 9 p.m. on Thursdays, so go later in the evening when it’s not so hot.
