Celebration of Alaadeen at Salaam Cafe

More than 40 people gathered Sunday afternoon at Salaam Cafe on 69th and Prospect to honor Kansas City jazz legend Ahmad Alaadeen. Jazz band Phil Callier and Jhamm played for the crowd before Alaadeen was presented with an achievement award by Salaam Cafe owner, Sulaiman Salaam.
