A Preview on World Cup Tickets for the U.S. Squad

The World Cup is back. After the usual four year layoff, soccer fans from across the world will flock to Brazil to see their beloved countries battle it out for the World Cup this upcoming June and July and bragging rights for being the best soccer team in the world for four years. Americans are particularly excited for this year’s team as new coach Jurgen Klinsmann leads his team onto the pitch for his first World Cup.

The U.S. team will face a difficult group stage, with Ghana, Portugal, and Germany their three opponents. Ghana has given the Americans fits in previous World Cups, ousting them in 2010 and beating them in 2006 as well. Portugal is led by one of soccer’s current great, Cristiano Ronaldo, and will potentially be a must-win game if the Americans falter against Ghana ion the opening match. For the final matchup, the German Klinsmann will face his former squad, Germany, the team he led all the way to the semifinals back when Germany hosted the World Cup in 2006. None of the three games will be easy, and the Americans will have to find a way to secure 4 points (at a minimum) to move on to the knockout stages.

You can find World Cup tickets from Vivid Seats for any of their three matchups. Tickets are available for as low as $328 (for the Portugal matchup on June 22nd) and the most expensive get-in price is for the Germany game on Thursday, June 26th. That is the final game of the group stage for the Americans and could be hugely influential in whether or not they move on to the second round. For soccer fans who are looking to head to Brazil, we’d highly recommend grabbing tickets for the U.S. Germany game to cheer on the Americans in Brazil!
