GH: Whitlock’s “high standards and lofty goals” have been replaced by the reality that he knows nothing about the discipline and sacrifice it takes to train for and complete a marathon …or about taking responsibility for his statements. At least The Star sold a lot of those skinny bobblehead dolls.

GH: First Whitlock says he never said he’d run the marathon. Then he blames locals for him showing up on race day weighing 325 pounds. Whitlock has evolved into nothing more than a well-paid circus act, and his words should be treated as such.
