Off-Street Annoyance

Hey, you, person living on Summit Street between 45th and 46th streets, just off the Plaza. No matter how much you don’t like it, you can’t just leave notes on our cars telling us “Do not park here again!” These are public streets, and there are no rules about where to park along them. Sure, the other side of the street is one-hour parking, but not yours. Thing is, I work just a few blocks away. My office charges us for parking, and it sucks to give back some of your paycheck just for the pleasure of stowing your car for the day. Many of us who don’t make much money or aren’t stupid have decided to park along neighboring streets. But you can’t do anything about it. Some people are scared you might retaliate and damage their cars. But you know what? If there is any damage to my car, remember, I have the note you left on my windshield. I’m guessing you didn’t wipe your fingerprints off.
