The Killers

Say what you will about the Killers‘ so-called allegiance to New Order and Duran Duran. When Brandon Flowers tosses off lines such as The stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun — well, it’s all about the Boss. The Vegas-bred group owns a larger-than-life stadium racket that would make the Asbury Park camp proud. Heck, the Killers may even have stolen some of the keyboards used on Human Touch. We’re not holding it against them, though, because “When You Were Young” and “Read My Mind” are two of the reasons we occasionally still flip the dial to corporate radio.
