Bucking Fun
Usually, bull riding is the dessert of the rodeo experience. Sure, calf roping and barrel racing are exhilarating. But the sweet high comes at the end, when insane cowboys hop atop a half-ton of bucking-mad bovine and hang on with one hand. In the interest of prolonged adrenaline rushes, the PBR Enterprise Open brings a full weekend of just bull riding to Kemper Arena (1800 Genessee, 816-513-4000). A concert by country crooners Western Underground follows tonight’s competition. Neal McCoy performs on Saturday. Both evenings of man vs. beast begin at 7:30. Tickets cost $14.75.
