Eggs and More

The Easter Bunny is great, but the real highlight of this holiday is brunch. Grand Street Café (4740 Grand) is featuring an appropriately grand Easter buffet with a seafood bar, an omelet bar and vanilla-rum-butter pancakes for $22.95, or $9.95 for children 10 and under. Call 816-561-8000 for seating times. Also skirting the Plaza and serving Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the redesigned Chaz on the Plaza (325 Ward Parkway, 816-802-2152) in the Raphael Hotel. Its Easter menu ranges from egg dishes to roast leg of lamb, plus a dessert bar, for $13 ($5 for kids). Reservations are recommended. In Brookside, Avenues Bistro (338 West 63rd Street, 816-333-5700) is serving two special buffets. Fill up on carved ham, eggs Benedict and breakfast potatoes at brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or prime rib, crab cakes and au gratin potatoes at dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Both meals are $16.95, or $9.95 for children under 12.
