The Art of Presentation

If you’re into local art and fashion, you know who Peggy Noland is. She can turn stinky garbage into runway couture. Rock stars and fashionistas, from Germany to Japan, wear her bizarre designs. And Nylon, Teen Vogue and The New York Times have hyped her style. (Of course, you read about Noland here first — she was a 2006 Pitch MasterMind.) Hear Noland and fellow local-art heavyweight George Timock discuss what inspires them during the Third Thursday presentations at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Boulevard in Overland Park, 913-469-3000). The free, hourlong program starts at 3:30 p.m. See nermanmuseum.org.— Crystal K. Wiebe
