Folk Alliance International announces its first-ever Music Fair

This year, the Folk Alliance International introduces its Music Fair into the Sheraton Hotel next to the Westin in downtown Kansas City. Though the Music Fair takes place over the same period as the FAI Conference – Thursday, February 19, to Sunday, February 22 – it is designed as an entirely separate event. The Fair is meant to cater to the public – those among us who are not musicians but would like to take part in some of the immense talent that the FAI brings to town.

The Fair also envelops last year’s first-annual Winter Music Camp, which brought in professionals from around the country to offer tutorials and music lessons. New additions this year include an art gallery, film festival and acoustic battle of the bands.

Tickets are now on sale for the Music Fair, at some very economical prices: $25 for a night or a day, $50 for night and day, $125 for all-access over the four-day event.
