Comings and goings in The Legends

A month after a western-themed restaurant and a Mexican-themed restaurant closed at The Legends, get ready to welcome … a western-themed restaurant and Mexican-themed restaurant.

Going into the space that was Cantina #1 (and before that Corona Cantina #1) is Los Cabos, which describes itself as “specializing in the bold and distinctive flavors from the beaches of Mexico,” and featuring “the best tacos de pescado in the Midwest.”

Meanwhile, Wild Fire Steakhouse and Saloon takes over the spot that was Saddle Ranch Chop House. And yes, the Wild Fire will have a mechanical bull, which it has already named Bodacious. (Currently the only mechanical bull in the city is at PBR Big Sky.) Wild Fire promises to combine the “atmosphere of the Wild West and the personality of a Texas roadhouse,” with wood-fired items, rotisserie chicken and grilled seafood.

Wild Fire will be K.C. Hopps’ first foray into the steakhouse category. KC Hopps is the group behind 75th Street Brewery, Blue Moose, 810 SportsZone and Barley Brewhouse, but until now hasn’t ventured beyond the bar/bar-food establishment.

Both restaurants are scheduled to open by the end of spring.
