Save the Chatham Apartments campaign is on

Another old building is in need of saving (or not). A Web site has been started to save the Chatham Apartments at 3701 Broadway. The site says:

The Chatham Apartments is the proposed redevelopment of the Chatham Hotel located at 3701 Broadway, in Kansas City, Missouri. This historical building is located in Midtown which is experiencing significant redevelopment and investment with the majority of the projects on Broadway. The Chatham Hotel is currently one of the last properties in need of renovations to finally secure the Broadway corridor.

This is nothing new. The Pitch‘s Nadia Pflaum wrote in February 2007 (“The Bloodsucker of Valentine“) about the state of the Chatham — and a developer  who was talking about renovating the apartments into condos.
