Killa City: Clifford E. Harris charged with killing Travis McGaugh

Jackson County prosecutors charged Clifford E. Harris today with the murder of Travis T. McGaugh.
McGaugh, 18, was killed in a drive-by shooting on April 8. McGaugh
and another man were sitting in a Ford Explorer near 5921 Walrond
Ave. around 5:28 p.m. when they were shot by a man in a red Ford
truck. The surviving shooting victim told police that Harris pulled up in the truck and began firing shots into the Explorer.
At the scene, police found 9mm shell casings. Later that night, officers found an abandoned red 2003 Ford F-150 truck at 70th and Indiana. The vehicle was processed, and a DNA swab of the gear shift discovered DNA matching Harris’. Police also found a 9mm shell casing in the truck. A crime lab analysis matched the shell casing to the casings at the crime scene.
Prosecutors charged Harris, 26, with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action.
