Man charged with assaulting a woman that he was convicted of raping in 1986

A man convicted of raping, sodomizing and sexually assaulting a woman in 1986 is now charged with physically assaulting her 23-years later.
Jackson County prosecutors charged 54-year-old Donnell L. Thomas Monday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
Court records say Thomas allegedly threatened the 35-year-old woman with a butcher knife and punched her in the chest. Thomas allegedly took a swing at her with the knife but missed.
The woman told police that Thomas had molested her when she was a child, and he had recently been released and started living with the woman’s mother. The woman’s “mother did not know how to tell him to leave,” so the 35-year-old woman, her mother and other family members confronted Thomas and told him to get out. That’s when Thomas allegedly grabbed the knife and threatened to kill the woman.
Thomas has multiple aliases, including “The Woods,” Lee Bully” and “Bully the Woods.”
