Bruce Raisley, online sex sting target, convicted of launching attack on Rolling Stone‘s website

Bruce Raisley used to be tight with the child predator hating vigilantes at Perverted Justice (you know, the guys who helped NBC’s Chris Hansen humiliate dudes packing Mike’s Hard Lemonade and condoms).

But the 49-year-old Kansas City man had a falling out with Perverted Justice founder Xavier Von Erck and began criticizing the group and that’s just not something you do to a dude prone to using the Internets to settle scores (or so the Department of Justice tells the story).

Being a reasonable person, Von Erck retaliated, posing as a woman named “Holly” online and flirting with Raisley, who eventually decided leaving his wife for a woman he’d never met and might not be real was a good idea. Raisley eventually went to meet Holly and, of course, Perverted Justice was waiting at the airport to snap photos.
