’12 O’Clock Jump’ to exit Mutual Musicians Foundation

Promoters of the 12 O’Clock Jump show are looking for a new venue after failing to come to terms with the new leadership at the Mutual Musicians Foundation.
12 O’Clock Jump has originated from the foundation, a former union hall for black musicians, since 2009. KCUR 89.3 airs the show, which integrates live blues and jazz with scripted comedy, live at midnight on Saturday.
Last December, foundation members elected new officers, who immediately challenged the arrangement the Theater League, which puts on 12 O’Clock Jump, had reached with the previous board, which was led by Betty Crow.
