Jackyl doesn’t appreciate Kansas City strippers

Despite the fact that their new single, “She’s Not A Drug,” is getting some serious spins on 98.9 the Rock, Jackyl is favoring “gentlemen’s clubs” in Madison, Rockford, and Lexington to shoot the video for the song.

Understanding that using strip clubs in your song means that you will achieve immortality wherever young ladies take off their clothes for money (see also: N.E.R.D.’s “Lapdance,” Buckcherry’s “Crazy Bitch,” and — of course — Motley Crue’s “Girls Girls Girls”), the band is using their tour stops in the respective states of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Kentucky “to throw a series of CD release parties that are doubling as on-location video shoots for ‘She’s Not A Drug’,” so says the press release.

If you’d like to see the band on their upcoming tour in support of When Moonshine and Dynamite Collide, you’ll have to make the trip to either St. Louis’ Rib America Festival at Soldier’s Memorial Park on Saturday, May 29 or the Cotillion in Wichita on Thursday, June 3. No naked ladies at that shows but the usual drunken boob flashes, however.
