Get Up Kids Reunion Announced For This Sunday

This is not really breaking news, but just in case you haven’t heard it elsewhere already, this Sunday, November 16, the Get Up Kids will reunite for their first show all together since July 2005. The show is still listed as “Pre-Thanksgiving Party” on the Record Bar’s site, an event name that has effectively deterred all but a few local pilgrims from inquiring about what’s actually happening that night. The reunion concert was supposed to be kept quiet until tomorrow or something like that, but it’s pretty much out there by now. So, put down that ear of corn, Fanny, and be thankful for TGUK.

Get Up leader Matt Pryor tells Back to Rockville that the show is kind of a precursor to next year’s 10th anniversary of Something to Write Home About, which may or may not include a CD/DVD deluxe repackaging.

Tickets are $10 and sure to sell like turkey tits.
