Maserati hits Lawrence in support of new album, memory of drummer Jerry Fuchs

It’s been a year and a half since Jerry Fuchs — drummer for such integral indie-rock bands as the Juan MacLean, !!!, and Maserati — died in an elevator shaft accident in Brooklyn, New York. All of the groups that Fuchs was involved with have paid their respect in their own ways and have slowly stepped back into the studios and out on tour. Post-rock outfit Maserati released its first album since Fuchs’ death, Pyramid of the Sun, just last August through Temporary Residence Ltd., an album the group reportedly took its time with out of respect to the final pieces of Fuchs’ work. Now the band is on tour and hits up Lawrence on April 23, with a solid local lineup in tow.
