Lamar Hunt documentary: Plaza library screening doc of Kansas City Chiefs founder

If you’re feeling some cabin fever and lamenting the end of the Kansas City Chiefs season, the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library (4801 Main) is the place to be. A documentary film about the life of Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt premieres Thursday, January 20, at 6:30 p.m.

Kansas City Chiefs team historian Bob Moore will introduce the NFL Films-produced documentary, Games: Lamar Hunt and the Landscape of American Sports. Hunt is a fascinating figure, a man who created his own professional football league, the American Football League, and brought the game to Kansas City. The documentary “explores the sporting life of Hunt, and focuses on his legacy as an

innovator and a man revered for his humility and gracious manner.”
