Kassie Liebsch pleads guilty in KU ticket scandal

“Never tell Rodney and Ben no.” Federal prosecutors allege that’s what now-former University of Kansas associate athletic director Charlette Blubaugh told Kassie Liebsch, who was hired as a systems analyst in the ticket office. Rodney and Ben are Rodney Jones and Ben Kirtland, who were working with KU’s fundraising branch, the Williams Educational Fund.
Liebsch, 28, pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiring to steal tickets to basketball and football games at the University of Kansas. She’s facing up to 20 years in federal prison and up to a
$1 million fine; her sentencing is scheduled for March 30.
