Lift accident victims identified

Kansas City police released the names of victims of yesterday’s industrial accident at the construction site of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Police say 35-year-old Ryan Goodman of Lee’s Summit died after the cherry-picker lift he was in tipped over. Goodman was reportedly 50 feet in the air.

Police say 30-year-old Shane Wagener of Grain Valley is in serious but stable condition.

There are still no answers to why the lift collapsed.
