Petro America shareholder website pops up, celebrates ex-CEO Owen Hawkins

The shareholders of Petro America Corporation are speaking out — and their voices sound an awful lot like former CEO Owen Hawkins.

The Star‘s Dollars & Sense blog reported that a new shareholders website has popped up, linking to supposedly unaffiliated YouTube videos from shareholders repeating some of Hawkins’ old claims, which federal investigators say were a scam that bilked $5 million

from thousands of investors, many of them from Kansas City’s broke
