One killed in eight vehicle wreck on 169 Highway southbound

Bad fatality wreck on the road. At least one person was killed in an eight vehicle wreck on southbound 169 Highway in North Kansas City.

The accident occurred around 9:50 a.m., the Star says. KMBC adds that southbound 169 Highway is closed at 9 Highway (and they also have images from the mangled vehicles at the scene). If you’re heading out, you’re going to want to avoid that area (and keep the rubbernecking on northbound to a minimum).
