Reports are sketchy on what really happened. KMBC reports that police responded to the Stonegate Meadows apartments after a call from a woman saying a 26-year-old man may have harmed himself around 5 a.m.

But The Kansas City Star reported that “police are working an early morning shooting murder” after a man was found shot in the head.

The man’s name has not been released, and we’re still waiting for the official word from the KCPD.
