There won’t be direct deposit for employees of the Kansas City, Missouri, School District in September because the district doesn’t know how many people it employs. So they want to do a head count and have everyone getting paid by the district physically pick up their paychecks to “verify the size of its workforce and ultimately reduce waste.”
